Another digi one

Bel's off to Preston Manor today for a School trip - I had to drop her off extra early and the children (and teachers) looked brilliant, they were all dressed in Victorian clothes. Apparently all the staff at the Manor will be dressed up and they'll have a day of activities to add to what they've been learning about the Victorians. I did look Preston Manor up on the internet - I didn't tell Bel is supposed to be Brighton's most haunted building! lol

Digital scrapbooking

This is my new "project" - it seemed just perfect for those lazy evenings when I can't get motivated to get the craft stuff out. I might eventually do some pages to put on a cd to put in Christmas cards (at Christmas obviously!). I also had the idea a while ago of making a My Chemical Romance scrapbook but had real difficulty finding suitable papers - there's so much digital stuff available out there that this might be the answer :-)

Anyway, here's first layout, just playing earlier on

Eek! Had an urgent order for a card for a 10 year old boy last night - fortunately he's keen on football so it was the good old football shirt again (West Ham this time!)

I also did Bel's birthday card but haven't had a chance to scan it when she's not around yet! I promise there'll be a picture soon!

More pics of "little" Bel

Haven't had a lot of crafting time lately but have managed to do this double layout - as you can see I am still working through the pictures of Bel! I've got a reasonable amount to work with - hard to believe she'll be 8 in a couple of weeks' time! I've just written out her party invitations for her to take to School today so she should be happy - when she wakes up that is, she's never easy to get out of bed in the morning :-)

Fathers' Day card

Inspiration finally struck - I'm quite pleased with it and the person who'd asked for it liked it, just hope his Dad does! No crafting this evening, Bel's got modern dancing after school, then its off to line dancing later

Hmmm....

Got to at least get an idea for the third card tonight, as its a Fathers' Day card! Struggling a bit - (a) its a man's card (well obviously) (b) its for an elderly gentleman.... I've been given traction engines and trees as things he likes - I'm just off for a Google! lol

New cards

Spent the weekend up in London with Mum and Dad which was lovely. Was quite glad I'd booked yesterday off as well as I'd had an order for three cards, got two done and have one left to do later. Here are the first two

Beach Babe

I seem to be on a scrapping roll at the moment. Woo hoo! Started this one last night with pics I took at the weekend, I've had the pebble paper for ages but it seemed perfect for this - Bel had managed to find one of the only patches of sand on what is otherwise a very pebbly beach here in Hastings! Finished off the lettering this morning, I wanted something smaller for the wording than I could get with the Cricut so this is the Quickutz Sunshine alphabet

Double layout

I decided to scrap some of my Jack in the Green photos - was so grateful for the Cricut in cutting out the leaves! I was quite pleased with this one - I chose the papers and stuck down the photos this morning before work and finished the leaves and the lettering etc while Bel was at athletics this afternoon. Well at least it took my mind off the fact that my ballet and jazz class last night was fairly, well challenging I suppose is the word for it and I've definitely got a few aches and pains today!

Meet my "Meez"!

Saw a link to the Meez site on Louise (Looby's) Blog and had great fun creating a virtual "me". It doesn't actually look anything like me but I think its the "me" I am on the inside so nice for it come out for a while! She might change every little while so keep checking back

And yes, Louise, I said you recommended me so you should get some "coinz"!

Hello!

Sorry for the gap, I haven't forgotten you! Decided you'd very soon get bored with "went to work, came home" "went dancing" "came home" and I haven't done a lot that's very exciting. I've had a couple of days hols from work but mainly just relaxing so not much to add there either! I did do a few scrapbook pages which I was going to put on here but I can't find the camera lead to "retrieve" the pics and I can't ask Del at the mo cos he's fast asleep... aw..... So I'll be back this evening to put on the pics - after I've gone to work, come home and gone dancing and come home lol

Found another MCR fan on my favourite card making forum :-) don't feel so alone now lol

In a bit of chaos at the mo.... we live in a one bedroom flat, Bel has the bedroom and we sleep on a bed settee - went to put it away earlier and it wouldn't close! Its done it before, Del has the knack of sorting it but I don't so its had to stay out for now - mind you Bel's happy cos she's flopping on it watching tv at the mo!

New week

Well Monday again! Spent most of the afternoon walking around, from work to School to pick Bel up, School to home to collect her ballet stuff, walked from home to ballet, left her there and walked home again.....

then had a lovely relaxed couple of hours playing Zuma on the X-Box (a most addictive game, unfortunately I've been stuck on level 8 for ages) with The Black Parade cd in the background, then.....

walked back to ballet again for my ballet and jazz lesson and then both of us walked home again! (Phew). Well should get me fit anyway!

Del's just back from his cycle ride, he said he really enjoyed it although his knees hurt a bit! Least he's ok :-)

Sunday

Well I've got a nice quiet morning ahead apart from nipping to the shop down the end of the road with Bel to put some electric on. Del has a less quiet morning, he's been persuaded to join some work colleagues who have decided to take up cycling.... which is fine except he hasn't cycled for years! He picked up his Dad's bike yesterday and rode it home and found it pretty hard work :-( Dread to think what he'll be like later - OK I hope as we're going to a BBQ! Its one of his friends from work's Son's 16th birthday, we've never met the Son but I've been told his favourite football team is Arsenal so at least that gives me something to work on for a card which is my other job for this morning! I'll put on a pic later if there's time.

Friday

Woo hoo, the weekend starts here ..... makes it sound as if its going to be really exciting; its not really, I'm just glad to be finished for the week! Got to pop into town to buy some shoes tomorrow as I'm practically living in my cowboy boots at the mo - don't want to wear them out I'll have nothing to line dance in! Apart from that its a quietish day, bit of housework to do probably with the Scuzz music channel on in the background :-) As I get older my musical taste seems to get younger.... I don't tend to mention my favourite music at work - I'd be very surprised if anyone there had heard of My Chemical Romance... sigh..

What do you mean, you haven't either! Don't tell me I'm their only 40 year old fan lol

Dancing

Hiya! No time for to post yesterday, took Bel to dancing (modern) straight from school, then home had a quick dinner and then off to Line Dancing! Lots of new people there last night so we did all the nice easy ones, plus the Lemon Tree that we started last week and I couldn't get the hang of, it suddenly fell into place this week so I didn't make as big a mess of it this time! Nice when it works like that. Had tap after work today, we're practising for our "Adult Fun Tap Exams" in September.... well the tap is fun but I'm not sure doing exams is going to be! We're learning a Fred Astair type dance with a cane at the moment - the studio's not that big so I'm slightly nervous about hitting the person behind me with it! lol
