Birthday card

Here's one for the little Brother of one of Bel's friends - she and the friend usually end up arguing but she gets on very well with the Brother! I'm sure if she had a Brother they'd fight like cat and dog, so borrowing someone else's little Brother for a while every now and then is the perfect solution! Sorry for the wonky scanning - I was going to photograph it, but I appear to have mislaid the memory card for the camera.... whoops! I'd better find it quick as tomorrow is.... MOUSE DAY!

Quick update

Time for a quick (non-crafting I'm afraid)update! We had a good week, although Saturday was tiring - we spent the day sorting out Bel's room; living in a small flat we all tend to "dump" things out of the way in her room and she is a terrible hoarder of toys and other strange items - if it interests her for five minutes she wants to keep it for the rest of her life! Anyway her birthday is in a couple of weeks time and she'd asked MIL and FIL for a desk for her room which involved some moving round of furniture anyway and she was told that if she had a really good clear out she could have two weeny mouses from me and Del! That has done the trick and we have bags of rubbish to go to the tip, and bags of reasonable toys to go to St.Michaels' Hospice where Del's Nan has been looked after so well to hopefully help with their much needed fundraising. And on Sunday we are off pet shopping! I have to add they will be two lady meeces or two boy meeces (probably the former) rather than one of each!! I'll attempt to get some piccies when they arrive (can you tell I'm looking forward to it too!) ;-)

Cardmaking Friends - Partners' Challenge

Oooh I love a good "Partner challenge!" Basically if you've not heard of these before, you have to make a card, and then send to your Partner duplicates of all the items you've used to make that card. Your Partner then makes a card using those items - but without seeing the card you have made! Its always fascinating to see how similar or how different the cards actually are.

So without further ado (drum roll please) here are the cards from our recent challenge.

Ssshhh .... don't tell Del

Had great fun making his Father's Day card today - I haven't even been able to show it to Bel yet as when she got back from dancing he was already home. Its a "springy" card made with this tutorial on Joanna Sheen's site. The images are stickers from his favourite game which I "squirrelled" away a little while ago! lol

Cards

Couple of quick ones for two Post Pals (well a Post Pal and a Post Pal's Sister) that I send cards to regularly - smaller than the cards I usually make which I always find a challenge!

Oh :-(

The School Fair is cancelled! Only three Parents (me being one obviously) volunteered to help and the School Disco which was due to take place shortly has also been cancelled for the same reason. Boxes anybody? lol. They're hoping to do an Autumn Fair so am going to have to work out somewhere to store the boxes til then!
